Doing everything I thought everyone wanted me to do, in order to be liked.

Feeling on top of the world when people around me were happy and content, because that obviously meant I had done something right.

Assuming that every time someone looked unhappy or disappointed, that it was obviously something I had done wrong.

Mentally obsessing over how I could correct said wrong, so that they could be happy with me again.

That is until I learned to radically love + accept myself, and finally started living my best ‘hot mess’ life.

A life where you are liberated from the constant obsessing of what everyone else will say or think.

A life where you are finally free to be who you really want to be, and do what you really want to do.

A life where you don’t have a care in the world about what anyone else is saying and thinking behind your back (or in front of it).

Because you’re too busy living your best ‘hot mess’ life to even care.

To call me a potty mouth would be a gross understatement.

I don’t have an inside voice (not even sure what that really means).

I have a movie quote for every situation in life. Although, few people ever really get my movie quotes, but that’s okay.

Pippa’s my dog. She’s cute. She’s in charge. She knows it.

When I was younger I wanted to be a surfer when I grew up ( funny thing is I hadn’t yet seen the ocean).

In the summer I often forget the windows are open when I’m singing in the car. Really loud and totally off key.

I’m obsessed with action films and chick flicks (can you say confused?).

I once asked Santa for a life of leisure.

I’m stubborn. I’ve come to terms with it.

Somewhere between the jungle, the ocean and the volcanos lies my happy place.

I love the snow but hate the cold.

I could spend hours at the window watching thunderstorms and listening to the coyotes howl at the moon.

I’ll give up coffee when….oh right…never.

I have redesigned my wardrobe and my life more times than I care to count.

No matter what I’m doing, I am almost always listening to music.

I love singing and laughing out loud, even if I’m the only one in the room.

I believe that there is no greater gift for us to share than our own truth and authenticity.

Most of all, I believe that if you love yourself the way you want to be loved, you will be.
